Save the Date!

Alicia McClurkan, CDI, will be teaching a hands on workshop on platform interpreting, specifically on-camera during emergency disasters. Alicia was the on camera FEMA interpreter during hurricane Harvey and has extensive experience in this area.

During the workshop you’ll get hands on practice through mock scenarios:
HI feed the DI
DI reading HI, then interpreting
Understanding expectations of both HI/DI
Lots more!

The workshop is free, but reservation is required. Don’t miss this great workshop designed specifically for the needs of our Deaf community! Our hope is that you walk away feeling equipped to interpret during a stressful situation with ease.
